Metsy Shines for 5 Seconds on Big Rich Texas

The sun was setting at the end of an 8 hour drive when my iPhone lit up the car. My friend Michelle was texting me closeup shots of MY face with an expression reminiscent of the church lady from SNL. Apparently, I had a cameo on Big Rich Texas, and my “Church Lady” pout made the cut. Although… “Church Lady” doesn’t sound like an inspiring name, so maybe I’ll call that smirk The Tigre or Blue Steel.

I attended several events where they were taping Big Rich Texas (BRT), but I didn’t expect to have any face-time on-screen. I had a running joke with my girlfriends that my left boob was going to be a star, as it was most likely to creep into some crowd shots on the show. Turns out, it’s my neon pink clutch that got the most airtime.

I admit I giggled and rolled my eyes when friends posted screenshots of their BRT appearances to Facebook/Twitter, but now I totally understand the desire. I’m repping for the big and beautiful fashionistas out there!
